1 - She has never had a baby shower before! NEVER. Can you imagine? Every girl needs one, at least.
2 - It's been 5 years since she's had a baby at home.
3 - They loaned us their crib mattress so Hudson could have a bed. (Too bad he doesn't sleep in it.)
4 - When I was dying because of my gallbladder, she went and got her daughter from school early so she could take me to the hospital. She stayed with me in the ER for 8 hours and kept Hudson off and on that horrible week that followed.
5 - She has made / given countless things to that sweet boy of mine.
Needless to say, IT'S HER TURN.

I saw this idea to do 'Wishes for...' cards and was able to make a little tree to hang all the cards on. The things people came up with were sooooooooo touching. (Yes, before I handed them over to Shannon, I read them. Made me cry!!!)

I am so grateful for good friends & family who help out with whatever is necessary. Shellie provided the Scents(y), Stacie made the amazing pasta salad and let me borrow some of her home decor, plus she showed me this awesome link so I could steal someone elses ideas, Marlee asked her sister to make the cake for me and then picked it up and brought it to my house.
I told Chelsea (Marlee's sister) that we were doing a 'woodland creature' theme and sent her a link of a picture of an owl. She came up with this all on her own and it was so incredible! What's crazy is the tree on the cake is similar to the one we put on the invitations. Love it! Even my brother Spence went out looking for large branches that he could cut up for decorations. A BIG thanks to Kirsten for coming way out here, getting my kids, and taking such good care of them so I could be (relatively) stress-free. LOVE YOU, KIRSTEN! Holly provided those ever-elusive clothespins for the banner, and Karen totally did everything else. :)
The decorations all came together so nicely, the food was great (who doesn't love sub-ish sandwiches), and Karen did a great job with the games. She bought little packages of play-doh and gave everyone two minutes to sculpt little babies.

The end result was a bit creepy, but it was fun to watch!
The winner, by Trudy!
While Shannon was opening her gifts, we played W-Y-A-T-T (aka, B-I-N-G-O). So there were a couple of games without there being the obligatory 'baby shower games,' which I liked.
We can't wait to see little Wyatt E!!!
Because I'm crazy, I feel as though I should post the link Stacie showed me, of where I got most of the ideas.

5 Two Cents Worth:
I loved, loved, loved it! Everything was so beautifully done! I had so much fun, thank you from the bottom of my pea pickin heart ;)
This is adorable! What's the WISHES FOR thing? I have 2 baby showers to throw this summer and would love to know (I didn't see it on the link you posted.... maybe I missed it?).
Super cute. And thank you all so much for taking such good care of my best friend in the entire world. I wish we lived close together, but I am happy knowing she has such great friends to take care of her when I can't.
oh, kateka, i got it off some other website. this is something similar though i don't know if that's exactly where i got it. ♥ (i've been searching websites forever and ever.)
