Some girls from church decided to get together today and the time chosen was 2 PM.
2 PM has been a sacred time in my life for many, many years now. It's when General Hospital is on. I've watched this show for as long as I can remember, and with all the cancellations of other soap operas, it makes me nervous to miss it.
So here's the question.
Right before I left today, I was thisclose to turning on the TV so that 'whoever' would think I was there watching it. One more viewer is one WHOLE more viewer. Right?
Is that weird?
And another question.
This isn't the first time I've thought about doing this. And I actually have done it before. I hate it when shows I watch get cancelled!!!
Is that even more weird?
**Might I add that the only reason I didn't turn on the TV before I left was because we're having all this dry (HOT) weather, electricity is scarce, so I try and do my part to conserve. You're welcome.

9 Two Cents Worth:
I hate when my shows get cancelled so I am right there with you when wanting to give them support so they'll stay on air... or is it aire with an e.... Anyway, not weird at all, in my book.
Yes! I saw Stacey. I waved and then thought, 'Eh.... she probably doesn't remember me and thinks I am nuts for waving...' and then I kept trying to catch her eye so that I could actually SAY hello, but she seemed (sigh, so beautiful, he sister too) so intune and stuff so I didn't want to interupt her temple time with HEY, REMEMBER ME?! NO? OH HI. I'M KATEKA! I'M WEIRD AND LOUD AND SOMETIMES ANNOYING. WE WENT TO HIGHSCHOOL TOGETHER AND YOU CUT DANIELLE'S HAIR. HEY SMALL WORLD! LET'S BE BESTIES. And, also, sometimes I can be kinda shy. :)
too funny.
I love you..for many reasons but this post is one of them. :)
hahahaha no the weird thing is you watch general hospital :) You are so funny, but I do hate when shows you watch get cancelled. And thank you for conserving energy!
1. Why didn't you say something, we will never have playgroup at 2 ever again! I know how it is with shows. When Brady was a baby you could find me parked in front of the TV between the hours of 4 and 5 catching up on old seasons of the Gilmore Girls. EVERY. DAY.
2. Not weird, and now that you mention, seems like something I can surely see myself doing some time in the future.
3. You make me laugh, and I love you for it.
oh you are too funny! general hospital?! i loved watching that show in college when i nannied...oddly i have not watched it since i have had kids. it's pry a good thing cuz i would get hooked right away again!
boooo. Sorry about that 2 oclock playdate! hehe. Next time we will pick an earlier time frame!
Hee hee! Love this post! But unless you have one of those ratings boxes on your TV, "they" won't know what you're watching. Or if you fill out a Nielson ratings card. :) Just a little tip from your former-television-news-employee friend.
You are not alone. I record and watch General Hospital too. Philip actually watched it with me for about a year or so. Too funny! Another reason why we should hang out soon.
