Gearing up for the Fall Classic*

*Fall Classic = World Series, for those that are unaware.

On October 1st, Mike and I threw caution (and money) to the wind and decided to go to the Ranger game, which was game 2 of the ALDS against Tampa Bay. We ended up having pretty sweet seats in left field, four rows up. Right behind David Murphy (and then Josh Hamilton). I LOVE the post-season, specifically going to post-season games. This is when people that really want to see some baseball, go to the games, not just the 'let's pack the kids up and torture them with 3 hours of sitting in teeny seats / baseball.'

To the right of me was a lady that was probably almost 80 years old. To the left and behind us was a guy that shouted annoying things during the entire game. They were supposed to get us all revved up or whatever, but instead, everyone was just really annoyed with him. The lady sitting next to me told me that during the regular season, her season tickets are right by his and he does it all. year. long. Good heavens! Anyway, I thought it was awesome that this older lady was there, and MAN, was she hard-core!!! I happened to mention I was a Yankees fan and she didn't hardly speak to me the rest of the game! But I loved her still. I hope that's me in 50+ years!

The game was awesome, the Rangers did well. Mike went to hunt us down some funnel cake and came back with a fancy dessert plate for two. HEAVEN. :) Mitch Moreland got up to bat in the 8th, and Mike said, 'That dude is DUE!! He hasn't had a good hit in a while..." and BAM!!! Home run. And then fireworks. (At the stadium, not between Mike and me.) So cool!

We had such a good time. It was then and there that I realized going to concerts and baseball games are the times I have the most fun (when I'm out without my kids). Those are things I truly love. I hope I get to do a lot more of both, and I'm thankful for Mike who sees the importance of both things, and loves them both too!

The Rangers have the chance to win it all tonight in St Louis. GO RANGERS!!!

GO RANGERS! I'm pumped for this game- aren't their fireworks the best there?? We got quite often on July 4 and I love being in that park for the fireworks!

I had to laugh...I'm one of those who takes the kids and tortures them for 3 hours. Maybe that's why our seats are never as good as the ones you had. How fun!

Okay, this sounds like a lot of fun! And I will agree with you, on the concerts (but, I have only been to Bees games) and sporting events are so much fun! I love all the excitement and I just love to be part of it all.

Too bad for the Rangers this year, hopefully next year they can bring home a champ trophy.
