2011 in a nutshell

Biggest Purchase:
Law school continues to win this one, 200 times over.

Favorite Movie:
Something Borrowed

Least Favorite Movie:
The Polar Express
(I know this isn't new, but we got it a couple weeks ago, and it was the worst!)

Favorite Celebrity:
Ginnifer Goodwin

Least Favorite Celebrity:
Russell Brand. I'm sorry. He's hideous.

Guilty Pleasure:
The Bachelor. I don't feel guilty about it, but I feel like I should. Know what I mean?

Sickest Moment:
My kids were pretty sick at the beginning of the year, Hudson requiring a nebulizer and Maddy having a super high fever for three days. That was horrible, to see them in pain.

Also at the beginning of the year, we all got the "death flu." Well, Hudson was spared, thank Pete, but I lost seven pounds in one day, from the {literally} throwing up every 30 minutes. It was disgusting.

Saddest Moment:
There have been some issues with friends that really made me so very sad. They've all been resolved, but I was actually sick over it. Horrible.

Achievements:
I sent my baby girl off to school
I did another (non-competitive) 5K
I did a lot with my kids, taking them places and trying to do fun things

2011 "Firsts":
Family vacation to Houston & the beach, which was a lot of fun

Solo trip to the OC - incredible

Lessons Learned:

Women are just really big high school girls. With babies. {D-R-A-M-A}
You can't please everyone
I'm really happiest when I'm with my family

2011 in 1 word:
Stressful

2012 will be:
Better

Hopes for next year:
To continue my love affair with vegetables.
To finally conquer my addiction with The Dew
My husband will graduate! And take (and PASS!) the Bar! Woot!

I love reading your posts. You write so well and you are hilarious and I seem to relate quite a bit. Wow - my 2011 year seems to be very similar to yours - stressful and realizing women are just really big high school girls with babies. And that I need to conquer my addiction to Dr. Pepper! Thanks for sharing.
