Kirsten & Brian were very generous to invite us, we love you guys!!!
We headed down Friday (the 13th!) and got lunch on the way. The kids did so awesome all the way down, I was so thankful! We got there and checked into our hotel. Then we went out to dinner with Mike's friend Matt and a couple of his coworkers. We waited forever for dumb Chili's, which was a huge disappointment to me, but whatever. We got back to the hotel and had a heckuva time getting Maddy to bed. :/ The next morning, we all went to the Olympic Trials. They had a bunch of little stations set up for kids (and kid-like adults) to compete in. It was fun. But it was hot!!! Texas weather...

There was A LOT of eating out, a lot of my children running around restaurants, a fair amount of crying, some navigational disagreements between the hubs & I... All in all, a great time!
The marathon was on Sunday. Jenny did incredible! She finished the marathon, which is really quite something. It was so amazing to be there to see her accomplish something like that. I cried! I felt like her mother or something! I'm so proud of her. She really is a rock star.

Mile 13

Almost there!

WAY TO GO, JENNY!! We love you!!!

3 Two Cents Worth:
Girlfriend! You and Mike look like a Hollywood celebrity couple with your two cute little kiddo's. Seriously. Geez. Stop it. ;)
I ran a marathon when I was 19, when I was all youthful and stuff - I stopped running after that! I can barely run a mile now. I can't believe your sis-in-law did the whole thing! Way to go, girl!
It was so much fun to be there with ya'll! Love ya!
26.2...that is amazing!!!
